Drywall Repair in Flint, MI
Drywall takes a beating. Kids, doorknobs, moving furniture, roof leaks, old plumbing — sooner or later most homes need a repair. I'm Jacob Sanborn, owner of Expo Contracting Services LLC, based right here in the Flint/Grand Blanc area. Drywall repair is half of what I do, and I do it every week.

What I fix
Holes — from doorknobs, accidents, or cutouts for plumbing and electrical work
Cracks — seam cracks, corner cracks, cracks from settling
Water damage — stained, bubbled, or soft drywall from leaks
Ceilings — sagging or damaged ceilings, up to full tear-out and replacement
Texture matching — repairs blended to match your existing wall or ceiling texture
Paint — prime and paint so the repair blends in
I cut out damaged drywall and replace it. I don't skim over problems and hope they stay hidden — that's how you end up paying for the same repair twice.
How the job goes
1. You call or book online. Tell me what's going on. A photo helps — text it to me and I can usually tell you right away whether it's a quick fix or a bigger job.
2. I come look at it. You get a firm written price before anything starts. The number I quote is the number you pay.
3. I fix it. Floors and furniture get covered. Damaged material comes out, new drywall goes in, then tape, mud, sand, prime, paint.
4. You check the work. Payment is due when the job is done and you're satisfied.
Multi-coat jobs take a few visits — mud has to dry overnight between coats. I'll give you the full schedule before I start so there are no surprises.
Frequently asked questions
Will the repair match the rest of the wall? That's the whole point of the job. I match the existing texture and paint. If your paint has faded over the years and a perfect match isn't possible, I'll tell you before I start — not after.
How soon can you come out? Call and ask. My schedule changes week to week. Small repairs I can often fit in within a few days.
Do you do popcorn ceiling removal? If the ceiling is damaged and needs to come down anyway, yes — removal is part of the replacement. If you just want popcorn gone from a healthy ceiling, that's a different job; call me and we'll talk about it.
What if there's mold behind the drywall? If I open a wall and find mold, I'll stop and show you. I don't do mold remediation — that's a specialized job — but I'll tell you exactly what I found so you can get the right person in.
Do you need me to move furniture? It helps if the area is clear, but I can work around things. I cover floors and furniture with drop cloths either way.
