Drywall Repair in Fenton, MI
Dented wall, cracked seam, ceiling stain that keeps growing — drywall problems are annoying, and they don't improve with age. I'm Jacob Sanborn, owner of Expo Contracting Services LLC, based in the Flint/Grand Blanc area and serving Fenton and the surrounding communities. Drywall repair is one of the two services I offer, and it's what I spend most of my weeks doing.
You talk to me directly — the person who shows up is the person you called. Firm written price before work starts, payment when the job's done right.
What I fix
Holes — doorknob damage, accidents, cutouts from plumbing or electrical work
Cracks — seam cracks, corner cracks, settling cracks
Water damage — stained or softened drywall, including full tear-outs when needed
Ceilings — damaged or sagging ceilings, up to complete replacement with new insulation
Texture matching — repairs finished to blend with your existing texture
Paint — primed and painted so the repair disappears into the wall
How the job goes
1. You reach out. Call, text, or use "Get a Free Quote" on the site. A photo of the damage helps me give you a realistic idea of the scope before I come out.
2. I come see it. You get a firm written quote on the spot. That number doesn't change unless the scope changes — and if it does, you approve it first.
3. I do the repair. Work area gets protected, damaged material comes out, new drywall goes in, then tape, mud, sand, prime, and paint.
4. You walk through it. You inspect the finished work before you pay. If something's not right, I fix it.
Jobs with multiple mud coats take several visits — each coat dries overnight. I'll give you the schedule upfront.
Frequently asked questions
Will you be able to match my wall texture? Yes — matching the existing texture is part of every repair I do. Most homes in the area have orange-peel or knockdown; I blend the patch so it doesn't stand out.
How long will the repair take? A small patch is usually one visit. Repairs needing multiple mud coats take 2–4 visits over a few days. Ceiling replacements run 4–5 work days with short finish visits at the end.
Do I need to fix the leak first? If water caused the damage, yes — the source has to be fixed before new drywall goes up. Otherwise you're paying for the repair twice. Not sure if it's fixed? I'll tell you what I see.
Do you clean up afterward? Yes. Drop cloths during the work, all debris hauled away after. Dust happens with sanding no matter what — I minimize it and clean up thoroughly.
Can you paint just the repaired area? Usually, yes. I prime and paint to match. If your existing paint is old enough that a perfect match isn't possible, I'll say so before starting.
Are you licensed and insured? Yes — Expo Contracting Services LLC is licensed and insured in Michigan.
